The T4 Application Server is offered on either the classic Software License basis or on an Annual Subscription basis. When purchasing the Software License, you will own the License from the point of purchase and forward, however, the product support will only extend 1-year from the point of purchase. You may still obtain support on a pay-per-instance basis following the 1-year period, or you extend the support agreement for another year (if available). The annual fee for this is currently 20% of the going list price.
The Annual Subscription model offers you ongoing support and free upgrades to new releases during the period of your renewable Annual Subscription. Should you choose not to extend your subscription at the end of the period, you will not retain the right to use the software
There are three different levels of the software:
- Developer
This is the entry-level version of the software, and targeted at enabling developers to performance test their own code on a workstation. The software is limited to operating on machines with up to 2 CPU’s and allow for a maximum heap size of 2GB. Note that the Developer Subscription is only available in 5-packs minimum. - Testing & Staging
Designed to enable performance testing of your Java complete Java system when ready for deployment. This is the full version of the software, allowing unlimited head size and servers with up to 8 CPU’s. Each Testing and Staging License/Subs includes five (5) Developer Licenses/Subscriptions. - Production
This version enables you to profile your live production environment. This is the full version of the software, allowing unlimited head size and servers with up to 8 CPU’s. Each Production License/Subscription includes five (5) Developer Licenses/Subscriptions.
